Tim Cathcart is the Senior Electrical Control and Instrumentation Technician at the Energy Innovation Centre. Tim has a background in temporary power generation and distribution projects, clients including Formula E, the Tokyo Olympics, the Rugby World Cup and the UK Commonwealth Games.

Tim is responsible for the day to day operation and preventative maintenance of electrical, control and instrumentation systems on our state of the art, pilot-scale industrial plant. His role includes installing, maintaining, testing and inspecting electrical installations and he is CompEx-qualified to work in hazardous and explosive environments. The role extends to panel wiring, safety circuits, and PLC programming and troubleshooting.
