Hansini Rathnayake is the Laboratory Manager for the Energy Innovation Centre (EIC). She holds a strong background in chemistry, specializing in analytical chemistry, with over a decade of experience in fuels and petroleum product testing.

Her expertise encompasses laboratory operations, instrumentation, quality control and assurance, industry-specific test methods and standards, as well as experience in ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 QMS. She has completed ISO/IEC 17025 assessor training, equipping her to evaluate and ensure the competence of testing and calibration laboratories in line with international standards.

Hansini Rathnayake is an active member of ASTM D02 Committee on Petroleum Products, Liquid Fuels, and Lubricants, engaging regularly in committee activities. In her role at the EIC, Hansini coordinates laboratory activities, maintains equipment, develops standard operating procedures, implements quality control measures in compliance with ISO 9001:2015, and oversees the implementation of ISO 17025:2017 quality management system in SAF IC Laboratory.
