Steven Gillard, Regional Sustainability Director of UK, Europe, the Middle East, Türkiye, Africa and Central Asia at Boeing, has been appointed as Honorary Professor of Sustainable Aerospace at the University of Sheffield.
With a seat on the Energy Innovation Centre (EIC)’s Research Strategy Board – of which Boeing is a founding partner – Steve works in close collaboration with EIC researchers and other industrial members to encourage cross-sector collaboration in low-carbon technologies, including sustainable aviation fuels.
EIC Managing Director, Professor Mohamed Pourkashanian OBE, said:

In addition to his contributions at the EIC, Steven will share his breadth of industrial experience through supervising PhD students and providing doctoral training opportunities, and supporting undergraduate students in their career development, with a focus on roles in the aviation sector.
